SLP Bilsteins made my 3.8L feel like a new car!

WTF? Your RS has LSD and 3.42 gears and you couldn't feel it? Is it worth getting LSD and 3.42 on these cars or should I just go straight to 3.73? Or just save my money for a z28 in the future and have all the fun in that car and make this one the boring DD?
I've been interested in swapping out that rear axle but the more I read, the less confident I feel about spending the $ on that.

No, the RS does NOT have LSD, but DOES have 3.42 gears.
Here's some good info on gears:

What gears do you have now? Look for your GU RPO code... Why swap the whole rear axle, just gears and a carrier are all you need, AFAIK.

How could I have LSD if there is no G80 RPO code? I have the Build Sheet or Manifest as it is actually called for my RS. There is also no Y87 code, but there is the Y3B code which indicates an SLP RS... Both RS & SS are auto trans. Tighter steering would imply the same steering ratio as the SS (forgot what that is), but what's the RPO that indicates this?
It's too bad someone doesn't have a better way to show how the stocker LCAs suck, as I still don't get it, unless they just flex too much?

Your RS is a Y87 equipped car. Came with 3.42 gears, tighter steering, dual exhaust, and a limited slip. Your SS has limited slip as well but I'm guessing by the 3.23 gear ratio you have an auto. Autos had 3.23, Manuals had 3.42 =)
It's all about how they flex. The stockers don't really flex correctly. Bushings definitely help but they can only do so much with a steel pole (literally lol) attached to them

idk, I was reading up on other threads. Isn't it easier and cheaper to find a used rear axle and drop it in? And why is he saying you have a y87 car but you're saying you don't have LSD? I R LOST.

Ok you responded to some of what I asked before I typed it. Here's a question then. How can you have 3.42 gears on a camaro from the factory but not have LSD? Is this part of an SLP RS package? I don't even think I've ever heard of that anywhere.

I have a GU6 RPO code, that means 3.42 gears... The RS package is a separate RPO code, as I explained.

Hmm that's weird. Never heard of an RS having 3.42s without the G80 code. That would **** me off lol
The stock LCAs flex fine, just not in the right places to dampen the differential's lateral and vertical movements at the same time.
