Default and the saga continues

Well maybe we have a bit of an answer of whats going on with my car. Let me preface this by saying I honestly love my car and even though it seems like something new challenges me with it, I love to be challenged. lol

So we've been wondering what may be causing my battery to be too low to crank about every 2 to 3 days. Sometimes its quicker than that, other times its fine. Also, it doesn't start everytime I attempt it either. You can hear the fans running and battery is fine but it does nothing else. About the 3rd try, it starts right up.

Well here's the kicker. I never new this could happen but today I cut it off (or thought I did) and removed the key. Problem? Engine was still running! My husband had came up to me and wondered why I was laughing hysterically and I show him the keys. He didn't realize at first that it was the key to THAT car. So he says "put the key back in and turn it off". I tried that but the switch WAS turned to the off position. After wiggling it around, the engine finally shuts off. He cranked and removed key 2 more times and it didn't do that for him.

So I guess the car isn't in love with me as much as I am with it.

Now, question, what do you do when the car WON'T cut off and you're holding the key?? And could this be the answer to all the issues I've had the past few months?

Yep your ignition is failing badly. That would also be why it's not always cranking over and why your battey is dieing so fast. You turn it off but really it's not completely off.
