Jeez, there's not much left. How about a cracked spark plug? Any chance it could have gotten damaged when you replaced them. It can happen, especially where access is a pita.

Pete, that is a good suggestion, I will attempt that next. Spark plugs are okay.

Possible bad computer or off chance an o2 sensor like off the catalytic converter effecting it?

I don't even want to really think computer for a 1995 3.8 liter. Aren't the only ones that will work on them are the 95's since they changed the engine the year after?

Since an 02 sensor monitors a bank of cylinders (in your case 3), it wouldn't be able to trip a specific cylinder code. That would be random misfire.

sounds like dr's scenario, but hers was only after a long drive it set a code for cylinder 6 misfire. the head was cracked between the valves, and the 3800 is very prone to cracking any time its overheated more than once. she still had good compression and passed a cylinder leak down test when cold, was only once it was hot the crack would open up

Checked old ICM and it read okay but the guy seems very not sure so I bought a new ICM installed via Pete's suggestion with no differences. I guess I'll drive it around for a couple days in its ****ty condition and see if I can get the computer to spit out some new codes.

Could the computer be bad?

Also Mirco I pressure tested again while hot. Still read okay. Still getting right fuel mixture...I am truly stumped at this point.

Still working on it. Mirco, do you have a link to Dr's discussion? I'd love to read threw it.

So I thought I'd give an update and a thanks to all that helped me. I FINALLY found the problem. I bought an flow chart of all the sensors and traced it back to the catalytic converter and sensor and will be installing them tomorrow.

I figured I would post this for future reference in case someone runs across the similar problem.

Thanks again.
