Default Rotor install

I have a 98 camaro that needs front rotors. I think I know how to do it I just want to make sure there is nothing else. All I have to do is remove the caliper and bracket right? Then the rotor should slide off.

Unbolt the caliper bracket that mounts the whole assembly to the hub, its 2x15mm bolts I believe. You may need to compress your caliper to get it back onto the new rotor.

be careful when u remove the caliper to not let it hang by the brake line or u could take a chance in breaking it and needing a new one put on

use a zip tie to hold the caliper to the shock also replace the pads ceramic pads will keep your rims cleaner also spray the crap out of the new rotors with brake cleaner to get the grease off or you could glaze the new pads... and yes you need to compress the piston back into the caliper use a 6 inch c clamp an a socket if the piston is dished (which i believe they are)

Just put on another set of rotors and brakes on all 4 corners (since May) of mine as well, I hope you didn't get them at Advance Auto. I bought ceramics and come to find out they weren't, fought brake dust every week and lr rotor was already warped. Went back with ac delco and took all the other crap back to Advance.
