Default Removing the main fuel line from the rail

Ok, this is my second time removing a 3.8. The first one, I had trouble getting the main fuel line disconnected from the fuel rail. I bought the pack of 6 plastic tools that Advance Auto sells and they worked great on the other lines with disconnects. I finally used a small flat blade screwdriver to move the tabs on the previous one so they would release. Today, I could not get the the fuel line disconnected. I finally unbolted the fuel rail from the engine before raising the car off the engine. After wasting about an hour messing with it, I gave up for today. It seems as if the plastic tools that fits around the fuel line is not long enought to release the clips.

I had trouble with those plastic tools as well...I eventually got a metal "X" shaped tool (I think it was from Napa) that worked much, much better.
