are you going to be swapping the whole thing or just the gears? If the gears only then you will need a matched set of ring and pinion, and if you dont have Posi now is the time to get a posi carrier and install that as well. If you are going entire housing then you need to know what type of ABS you have there are 2 types 3 and 4 channel. 3 channel has one sensor on the housing and 4 channel uses 2 sensors on the wheels. Then are you going to keep the GM rear or are you going to go to a Ford 8.8 or 9" They are alot stronger and have hundreds of ratios, and lots of parts to choose from. Then last but not least is brakes upgrade to disk if you have drums.

depends on if you can reinstall the spring cups easily. have you checked around at the local wrecking yards to see whats available?

quote (I have a late model camaro disc brake posi rear end, with rear sway bar still on it.

The spring cups have been removed for custom application.

I have leaf spring pads for it.Not welded on yet,to set up for a leaf spring conversion

200.00 call Dave *** *** ****

I have seen these sell for 450 or better I put it cheap in order to sell it quick there i nothing wrong with this rear axle
I was going to put it in my sub framed 57 pickup but decided to go anouther rout) end quote

I would get one with spring cups on it, according to the ad they were cut off. Make sure to get a rear from a 6 spd car because they have 3.42s. I got the aluminum driveshaft and rear from a car for $300.
