what are the consequences of removing the catalytic converter from my camaro? other than not passing emissions will it decrease my horsepower or improve it?

ya man you do not want to do that, it might give you a few extra horses but nothing noticable. It will cause your check engine light to come on because the oxygen sensors some how get messed up ive heard. Plus they are like 200+ for a new converter is it worth taking this one off i would say no. the only benefit you might get is if you have exhaust it might sound a little louder, but i got a 94 z with free flow and it is loud enough for me, but do what you want bro!!

If the cat was clogged, you will notice a poer boost, if the cat was in good condition, and you replaced it with a straight pipe, you won't notice much of a difference in performance.
