If you washed the engine compartment, there is a good chance that water got into a connector or or dried up wire, and causing shorts of some type. Hopefully, you didn't wash the ignition switch or underneath the dash.

No I did not wash the engine compartment and I had the floors shampooed and cleaned all the surfaces with armorall but that's about it. I have noticed the chip in my main key was loose so I tried my spare but it is still on. Possibly in the ignition switch itself?

Could be the VATS contacts in the switch, key, wiring between switch and VATS module. May want to reseat the plug on the VATS module, in case it got shampooed.
