I bought a 97 3.8 that I was going to take the engine out of to put in another vehicle. This motor runs circles around the engine that is in my sons 96. There are no visible mods on the car except the exhaust are aftermarket. I have never done anything related to the computer or chips etc. on these vehicles. Where and/or what would I look at to help determine if the PO has altered the original chip or computer settings.
