Default Pulleys

Ok i'm sorta new with this stuff so bare with me... but alot of ppl mention to get more HP getting a CAI, headers, exhaust, etc... but some mention pulleys... wat are pulleys? for what? and where are they?

pulleys are the round things on the front of your motor. they are what the belt is wrapped around. i wouldnt even bother putting new pulleys on cuz they are goin to give you enough hp for you to even notice.

If you're building an all out race motor, you'll need all the hp you can get. But for a daily driver, don't waste your money. Check out my other post about how that works.

ya ic what your sayin... well i kinda want a daily driver that i can race lol... i mean im in HS n cash is limited... My dad is worried with me and a V8, plus he owns a car shop so hes gonna know all my mods... i want somethin i can drive to school in in the day, and race at night lol... an RS would be nice, thats what im hoping for... what r good mods for a V6 other than like SC/TC?

if your ride is strickly for the strip you can replace the water pump with an electric and do away with the alternator and power steering pump. then you can remove all the belts and pulleys. doing this and moving the battery to the rear can make a substantial difference in horsepower and weight. the only pain is recharging the battery but, if you run two wired in sequence you can just about run all night without recharging. Sick

Thanks for the advice, sick, but once again this things gonna be my daily driver too... bottom line i want a fast daily driver, FAST... but tis gotta be V6... any other suggestions??
