Depends on what kind of pulleys you are using. Underdrive pulleys will give roughly 10 HP at very high RPM and practically nothing at low engine speed. So the overall effect won't be all that impressive. Save your money and get an electric water pump instead. You will get rid of the hig RPM drag from the water pump, and don't have to worry about the rest of the stuff working properly.

i pondered undersdrive pulleys for awhile too. But then i decided that i dont want my engine over heating at a stop light, or my voltage to be low, harder steering ( which isnt a big deal but still), and various other things. Also, those numbers givin by the books are BS. They must be dynoed on a drag engine or something. IMO, not worth my time and money.

I have experiance with underdrive pullys, though not on a camaro, but my 97 4.3l sonoma, and they made a difference, no volt loss, and no over heating problems, and I live in central florida. Mine came as a pair, crank and alt, 25% on crank and 23% on alt, you can also get kits that have crank, alt and waterpump, if you're that worried.
