Default Project hit a roadblock...need some help SOON

Ok, so we're swapping a 3.4L from a 95 into the body from a 96 Z28. We got the motor/transmission out this weekend easy enough, and we were just about to put them into the Z body, but then we realized we had a slight problem. The bolt holes for the engine mounts aren't the same. We have the ones from the Z still, and I think we should be able to use one of them, but I don't know for sure. And the other one I doubt we'll be able to use at all.

I want to get this car on the road before I go back to school, so we can't afford any major delays. I NEED HELP SOON! thanks

thinking you have to change out the k member to the one of the engine you're installing

This is correct. I did a swap for my buddy in HS. He got a 3.4 with a **** body and we were switching it into a 96 Z body and we had to swap out the K member. Drivetrain won't line up

Keep in mind the '96 never had a 3.4 option, it was 3.8 & 5.7 only...

Not what you want to hear, I know.

forgive me if I sound stupid, but what is that? we are already switching the entire wiring harness.

One more thing: could we get away with welding the base of the engine mount to the k-member? My dad's a pretty good welder, so he could probably do it.

On-Board-Diagnostics -- emissions & engine diagnostics related computer system. 95 Camaros has OBD I, 96 had OBD II, some 95s used and OBD II connector but is still an OBD I system.
