Programming the computer in a v6

Default Programming the computer in a v6

I was wondering is there anyway a shop can program the computer in a v6 for more HP and all that other stuff besides having to buy a programmer? i know you can get the ones that plug into the diagnostics port. if a shop can do it or i can do it without having to buy a programmer how can it be done?

you have an 01? so thats a 3.8.......

do you have any bolt on's? i/e: headers, intake, exhaust?

A dynoshop can do it, or you can get a mail order tune from www.pcmforless.com

Yea its the 3.8 and i have flowmasters and am getting a throttle body spacer and probably the SLP CAI.

^ Not all v6's have the limited slip diff.
