Default Problems after oil chance

Hello, I have a '97 camaro base model convertible 165k miles 3.8 V6. It has a couple of issues, like I was ripped off on a hg job and hadn't have time to do it properly, but with additives and stuff, it keeps running (some months now). I did an oil change 2 days ago, it was overdue, removed little more than 3qt only. Normally I use Lucas oil stop leak in every oil change and high mileage Castrol or Pennzoil. Well I got the oil change deal from Autoparts shop and got Peak oil 10-30W and Lucas Oil Stabilizer, never used stabilizer before but I though I would give it a try. I work 7 miles from home, after oil change I noticed some smoke (oil smelling) but it stoppped soon, test drove it and all was fine, drove it to work and back first day, and noticed it wa somewhat.... Shaky? But very little, that was yesterday. Today on my way to work as I turned it on it wa releasing a biiig amount of smoke (oil burned type) and it kept doing it even when 1/4 temp gauge was reached, by eventually stopped, then at a traffic light it started shaking as if it were gonna stall. Oil pressure was about 60 the whole time, can anyone please tell me what could be going on. Your help is always Greatly appretiated thank you.

You should post in the 4th gen section. Step one is check your oil and your coolant level and see what is low.

Welcome

Moved your thread to 4th gen section. Is the smoke coming from the exhaust pipe or from under the car? If it is coming from under the car, there is a good possibility that the oil changer spilled oil on the engine and it is running down on the hot exhaust pipes, or left the oil cap out and the oil is getting blown out the filler hole.
In my experience oil additives accomplish very little except to lighten your wallet. An engine with 165K on it is expected to burn some oil and 10W30 may be a bit too light, IMO. Try using something heavier like 10W40 or even 20W50. Usually when an engine shakes it is due to misfire, but could also be due to mechanical damage.

Now I understand why the title says "oil chance".

Yeah, sorry about the "chance" thing, wrote with my phone and well... Yes Gorn, that was the smart thing to start with, I noticed on my way to work and after I could not check until I finished and was concerned while at work. Thx a lot Pete, your comment is very instructive, and will definitely put some if that into practice. What happens was that somehow, with the oil change, the coolant treatment I used for headgasket issue failed and well, water started going in again... Did not recognized it cuz the smell was less sweet than regular burnt coolant/oil smell and it was a lot darker as well, so I assumed it was burning oil, but an oil check revealed the issue :-(... I'm debating weather to fix it or not... Thx a lot for help and attention ;-)

so you have a blown headgasket? better get that fixed before the motor is ruined. that is if it is not already throwin a bearing.

And in case you're wondering, your likely blown head gasket doesn't have to do with the oil change.
Oil changes don't blow head gaskets, that would just be considered a coincidence.
