Problem Accelerating

if the system is running rich because of false readings from the maf or 02s then the egr could be carboned up. take it out and clean it up.

I am also noticing a lot of backfiring when I try to accelerate quickly. This only happens when I am at lower RPMs and give it a little more gas. The slightest but will throw it off. Would the MAF cause this. Also it only does when it's warmed up a little. When I first start it it's fine then when I go through all the gears once and it's warmed a little not fully it starts doing

thats a misfire. could be crank sensor or maf giving false info.

Ok. I was going to replace and i found that the vacuum lines were not hooked up properly. They are all good except for the one that comes out of the fuel pressure regulator. I don't want to drop money on the MAF until I get those figured out. Would this be throwing the MAF code?

Have you tried running the car with the MAF sensor disconnected? Try that and drive around the block see if there is a change.

What you have here (no vacuum to the regulator) is causing the fuel pressure to spike high at idle. Vacuum to the regulator happens at idle or during low throttle, which keeps fuel pressure lower. When you get on the gas pedal, engine vacuum drops, and fuel pressure rises to keep up with demand. Currently, your engine is flooding (too much gas) at idle and low throttle, which will cause an off-idle/low rpm bog, just like you're getting. Get your vacuum hoses fixed, then report back.

Ok I made all of the vacuums lines go to their correct places but I am still having issues. Whenever I connect the vacuum line to the fuel pressure regulator the car stalls out. Does the computer need to reset or anything when I do this? I took it off and it runs it just has that same bogy symptom when I accelerate. Does this mean I have the lines hooked up to the wrong spot or what? Also this started out as a little problem here and there i did not do anything to anything and it got worse so i don't know if this is the lines are the problem or if something else was going out slowly.

Ok I am going to go do that today. I noticed this the other day. I can be driving and if i just keep my foot on the gas the same amount for a little while it will kind of do the sputtering and you can kind of hear it backfiring a bit but then it will randomly stop doing that and it runs perfectly (this when i get to a constant speed). Not sure if this helps any just something I noticed yesterday
