Posi rear end swap

Posi rear end swap
I've looked around on here a little bit and didn't find anything in depth on a posi swap for 4th gen. How in depth is it? I'm not even sure what my factory gears are in my rear end. I was told they were 2.73 from one person and 3.23 from another. Can someone clear this up? Is there a way I can tell by looking at the VIN on my car or some other way?
Anyways...I'm looking for something along the lines of a posi rear end with 3.42 gears and disk brakes(I currently have drums). Where should I look to find one and will it bolt right in? Is there a better rear end for my car? Opinions, comments, and other options are greatly appreciated.

Lol there should be. It's a list of 3 digit codes that tell you what options your car was built with.
There's a list of all of them

Just for the hell of it. I want the rear disks more than anything. My differential bearings are hitting the dust so I figured, "Hell put a posi with disks under the b**** lol". It costs just as much to do the bearings as it does to throw a whole rear end under it

And the liking for the 3.42 gears is I want the car to have a little more torque and acceleration more than top end. Should I be looking at something different to achieve that?

That's not a bad all around gear for a 5 speed.
