I'm ordering new plug wires this week for my 2000 3800 v6..there are the usual cheap junk cables for like $15, some for like $27, $31 and some for like $90..what would I benefit from the higher end cable, if anything..its all stock btw.

yes you will get more spark with better cables
and better spark equals better ignition,
Better ignition equals better combustion,
better combustion equals more power
better plug wires equals more power
of course you also good coils and good spark plugs

Heat will be a problem if you don't be careful. Combustion creates alot of energy.
