I have a 2000 Camaro V6 and the ceck engine light came on so i pulled the code and it said spark plug missfire #1. I have changed the obvious spark plugs and the wires, what else should i check out?? Thanks

The code just says that there is a misfire on cylinder #1. You just assumed it was a spark plug. Single cylinder misfire could be due to ignition problems (plugs, coil, wires), fuel injection problems (bad injector, bad injector wiring), mechanical problems affecting compression (bad valves, damaged valve train, blown gasket, etc..)

the spark plug wires connect to the coils if you have a v6 their should be3 coils and 6 plug wires connected to them ,2 wires per coil. the stock ones on my camaro are lable 123456 find them and theirs 2 nuts holding the icm which hold all 3 coils to it, you have to take the 2 nuts off and the wires comming off the back have a nut or screw holding the wires pluged in tothe icm. then you have to take any 2 coils off the icm and switch them around put it all back togather and run the car and see if the miss is at number 1 or if it moved. its not hard to do it just sound hard so lable the plug wires so not to mix them up then et in their and give it a shot later man.

doing it right now...what exactly is the coil? is it the big black thing the plug wires go to or is it the little orange thing under it with the two metal prongs coming up?

It is what the plug wires hook onto.
