You need to get your PCM reprogrammed. No chip. You can either have a local place do it or send to someone in the mail. The other option is getting a lap top and software and do it yourself but that wll be the most costly route.

I think you can do an exchange for 150 or buy a new one for 225.

Read up about it on their site. I am wating till I have all my mods complete before I send off. Because I have a 96 I can not do an exchange. The 96 has some issues. You should be good with the 97 unit.
