im taking a little survey here, im looking for some inexpensive upgrades, you know k&n filtercharger, flowmaster muffler, suspension and chip upgrade. the one im having trouble with is the chip upgrade. i got a really tight budget and id like to have some opinions on waht brands/types are best for my 3.4 v6 93 'maro, whaddya all think?

 

You will get a lot more power gain from gutting you cat. A REAL BADASS MARO.

 

Performance chips do not add alot of power to 2.8 V6's, actually about 2-5 hp or so. For your application I would suggest a cheap modification would be a FULL exhaust system, including headers. Prefered to be a 2.5" dual pipe. The reason for this is that your exhaust manifolds are extremely narrow, and do not flow nearly as well as headers do. Your CAI doesn't add much, but it may add some if it is a complete fenderwall system, and not just a filter. Well anyways, it all depends on what your definition of "budget" is, because I can keep going, but you might not have the funds to keep up with it.
