PART 5 now up!! Tom Henry RS project
In case you missed it... It's been a while, but there are finally three new pages of mods and tips!:
*- Camaro Home Page Tom Henry Chevrolet
Interesting that just replacing the stock cat and restrictive S-Pipe netted an average of +4.5-rwhp and 5.5 lbs/ft tq in mid-range rpms!

Hah, I remember google searching 3800 series 2 and getting this whole documentary. Really cool stuff on there, I especially was amazed how they ported the entire inside of the UIM. Really awesome info.

Funny how they declair everyone is "wrong" based on a test of one set. GM conciders a failure rate of 1 in 200,000 an unacceptable design. There is no doubt in my mind that if you use the right materials a single row chain can be strong enough. Most chains are made from low to mild carbon steel. Just switching the design to a High alloy steel can make it 3 times the strength but a test sample of one means nothing. High speed downshift is what destroys timing chains. Just different driving habbits could blow that chain.
