Overheating?!?!?! Help PLZ

Ok so I drive my car like 10 minutes and the temp guage gets to like 250 degress. On top of that my heater doesn't work. Any help is appreciated

Its weird because the heater worked fine earlier that day. My car was low on cooland to I added Half water and half anti-freeze

check to see if the water hoses is busted open, thermostat could be leaking. radiator.


dont crack the head, they get pricey after awhile.

I would flush the coolant with some Prestone flush. Same thing happened to my girlfriend, and then to me when driving. I believe that with that little coolant, some flashes to steam. Steam in pipes doesn't transfer heat as well as liquid water. That's why I believe you can't feel the heat anymore. I flushed it first, somewhat helped. Then I replaced the water pump (after finding area of leak), then the tensioner assembly (because I broke it), but whatwas leaking was a little plastic elbow that goes fromunder the intake manifold neck to the tensioner. No more overheating. 3.8 or 3.4?

Mine has been overheating latly... It did it the first time a few weeks ago.. it needed a new fitting on the hose... it started doing it again this past week, I replaced the thermostat in it... it seems to be running fine now.... check those two things
