Default over heating problems

So I took my car to the shop and now its over heating. Had the rocker arms adjusted when we put it in the shop. It literally takes no time for it to jump up near 260. I have to frequently stop and turn off the car. Any suggestions?

Are the fans kicking on and off? Make sure you still have the air dam that sits under the car behind the bumper. People will take it off because they don't like how it looks but it's their to help scope air up into the radiator. Could be air in the system or you could be low on coolant, though that should trip a light.

Oh wow. So your coolant isn't circulating? My guess is a bad water pump.

Check your coolant level but also lightly touch your radiator hoses while the car is warm. Check to see if they're warm/hot or cold.

bad install of the thermostat (up side down, offset, stuck), low on coolant, plugged radiator, air lock. all i can think of. park on a steep hill with the front of the car on the up side. let cool and check coolant level in the radiator.
