Oldest question ever, Mods.
So I have a 99 v6 camaro and I just put on a flowmaster exhaust system and I was wonderin what some good ways to add some Hp would be. Any help would be appreciated and I'm lookin to spend around $500. Thanks.
Also, my car is hugger orange and I know its pretty rare or so I've heard, and I bought some 35th anniversary stripes to put on it, think it would look decent even without the hood scoop?

assuming you do your own work you are limited to one of bignic's suggestions on a 500$ budget. i guess since you already have a catback, start with a cai now, then headers, and start workin your way inside the engine after that....

You don't need a CAI for the '99. The '97 and older models had a crappy intake, but the '98+ stock intakes are as good as aftermarket. Only difference is that the aftermarket airlids don't have the little baffles inside of them like the stock ones do, but you can get rid of those yourself by cutting them out with a dremil tool and then sanding it down.
Headers would be a goodinvestment when it comes to power. You could get some good ones for under $300. Also would be fairly cheap to get the aluminum driveshaft (I've seen it for $150). That wouldn't give you too much of an improvement, but it will lower the rotational mass and possibly add up to 5 whp.
