ok... this happened again over the weekend. haha 10 quarts of oil down my driveway now... I'm sure hazmat will be calling soon!

the dang valve was gummed up again... figured out a much easier to get it out this time... got the parts out of the way and used my wifes hairdryer to heat it up... once it got hot, it started coming out. sooooo... now the issue is... any suggestions to flush the motor? basically the reason this is happening is the guy who owned it before me let it sit too long... I cleaned it out but I feel like it needs a bit more to get all the residual crap out.

Seafoam. It has instructions on how to use it in the oil.

It would sure be great if folks here take and post pictures of their projects, in this case that relief valve -- sometimes a pictures says a thousand words...

Oh, and good luck!

ya know... I actually thought about taking pics while I was doing it. my focus quickly turned to getting my sick baby running again. if it happens again tho I will take pics... I'm getting good at getting in there. I'm really shocked to see that no one else has had this issue before (or at least no one mentioned it in the forum). it looks to me like a poor design and would happen more frequently.

the hardest part of doing this was taking the A/C compressor and the bracket that holds it off... there is a bolt that is hidden back behind it that was a royal pain to get at. once you get that outta the way its all pretty simple (unless ofcourse the valve is really jammed in there and you have to drill it out like I did the first time).

ok... I have another issue now (related to the problem I had with the camaro). the car has basically dumped 10 quarts of oil on my driveway. anyone have a good way of getting oil off a driveway? I tried a power washer and it did well on everything outside the oil but barely changed the huge oil slick I have in the driveway.

cat litter doesn't really do alot by itself... done figured that out. I tried putting litter on it and gas... that worked better but its a big oil spill (10 quarts)
