Oil leaking between Transmission and Oil Pan

My car is almost completely drained of oil and I don't know why... Its leaking between the tranny and oil pan. Looks almost as if its leaking out of the front of the tranny. This occured immediately after a loud bang, which happened when a mount (that mounted the tranny/axle/drivetrain) became loose and is now fixed... But what caused the oil to leak out? Where the Mount became loose is a good 1 foot from where the oil is leaking so I don't think it caused direct damage.

Sounds like your converter to front pump seal has failed. I don't see how the motor mount would have any effect on it. Most likely it just a coincidance.
Maybe if the seal was already hard the jolt from the mount failure caused it to tear. It would have torn soon anyway.

is it the trans thats losing oil? be a good idea to clean it so you can pin point the sourse. there are fluid lines that go up to the radiator that can also leak and the gasket on the pan can leak.

Thanks guys for the replies... I'm 100% positive its oil and not transmission fluid. The Tow checked the dip stick when he picked the car up, and I checked it when I got home. There was only enough oil to touch the very tip of the dip stick. Plus I saw a bit of the oil leak out myself.

the oil pressure sensor has been known to leak. the intake is a common issue for oil leaks at the front and more so the rear. the rvt on the ends of the intake fails and gets sucked in or pushed out.

You can see what's going on between the engine block and the flywheel in this pic.
At the very, very top is the RTV sealed joint that Craby mentioned. It seals the intake manifold to the block. Be absolutely sure that this isn't your leak point before you blame something at the back end of the block.
On the block itself, two pipe plugs at the top -- they block off holes used to drill oil passages.
Then there's the round cover with 3 ears that seals the back end of the camshaft bore. That gasket does tend to leak and, if the gasket blows out, you're done.
Another pipe plug further down and to the left. I think that on is in the passage to the oil filter.
Finally, at the very bottom, the large lip seal for the crankshaft.
Any one of these *could* be the problem but the pipe plugs are a low probablility. Sadly, you'll be pulling the transmission to find out which one is to blame unless it's the intake RTV.
