Default Oil leak!!

Okay so after finding my cam was wiped during my transmission swap i replaced it and everything else up top. got the car running and was leaking oil down the back of the motor i thought maybe i didnt get enough rtv on the back of the LIM so i changed the LIM gaskets again and still have the same leak from the back, valve covers feel dry when i run my hand across them. any ideas? i get a pretty good puddle about 3x3inches after like 5 min. any ideas where it could be coming from?
thanks!

I had to take it out to get the cam out (what a pita) and i bolted it back in didnt change the o ring though i feel like its leaking from either their or the LIM. I cant feel where its leaking i can just feel it getting wet. But ive done the LIM twice now and still leaking so im hoping its not that.

Put a new o ring on it and so far no leak. Now just to get that damn transmission dip stick seal in!

I am gathering information to do the same oil pump gear o-ring. Is there enough room to replace the oil pump rear o-ring with the engine in the car? Any advice on getting the gear out?

yes. its back of the intake where the distributor would be on a standard 350. getting to it will be a pita but should be doable.

Wow your are right!! It was a PITA to remove, but once it is ready to come out it pops up. I put a pair of channel locks on the top of the gear cover, put pry bar in the channel locks and popped the bar with a hammer. Came out easily with the right method. I replaced the o-ring and made a cork distributor like gasket to put between the gear cover and the block. Lots of black rtv for the just in case measure. I am going to let it sit overnight to let the rtv dry.

I warn you that the rtv might mess the seal up, I tried that the first time and it did not adhere, so I replaced the O-ring and also got a gasket and that worked.....
