looks like someone mixed green with orange,,, not a good thing. flush the crab outa that thing. do the engine, radiator and heater core separately best to take the radiator out.

I hope that's all it is. I've owned a 3rd Gen Camaro RS and a 4th Gen Firebird Formula in the past so both V8's so know little about the 3.8.

I paid little for the car $1,000 bucks with T/tops, power everthing and it runs great. Just don't want engine problems down the line. Just a Grocery Getter. I sold an '89 Camaro parts car for $500 so I'm into this car for $500 bucks. Only thing that doesn't work is the left turn signal doesn't cancel and I can live with that. I've heard about the Lower intake gasket problem so trying to correctly see any problem.

I like the car but had a bad experience with the '95 Firebird Formula. Hated it.

just do what craby said ,you should be set ,but don't beat on these cars there not ment for it an there getting older too all the seals .I would replace with dexcool was what was in the car ,then someone put green in it for $65.00 if you take the radiator out replace it for that price ,an make sure there is no gunk in the res tank

 

for a 1k investment your good. even if you gotta replace the engine. lol.

Can I run some km only with water to wash better the cooling system?
I want to wash more time and then, after the last one, I put 50/50 demineralized water and dexcool.

should be fine, may want to put some water pump lube in it.

 

you should be fine .if your using the same rad just be careful its not stiring crap up from the bottom ,depending on how old sometimes the radiator needs to be changed I found out the hard way ,make sure its clean ,sometimes if one never changed the antifreeze there can be a bunch of gunk in the bottom of it an you can never get it all ,I should have changed my rad but it was to late for me ,not often does it happen but just make sure ,

 

Hi to all.
Today i've wash the radiator in the most simple way: only water.
Now I run only with water some miles and then i wash and put inside 40% demineralized water and 60% dex cool.
I have some gunk on the bottom of the decanter, do you think that is better than I remove the battery and remove it to wash with water?
in the old dex cool there is no oli but only dirt(gunk)!
