New INtake, SEL
So I put a new intake on my 3.8 today and it was doing fine on the way home. Well I went out to get some food a lil bit ago and the Service Engine Soon Light Came on, WHen installing the intake I had no spot for the Intake Air Temp Sensor so I put it down in the filter hanging, and then put thge filter on, so it was still in the intake, just hanging inside though, not in one spot. Why would the SEL light come on? Its still reading the temp from indies the intake?
The diagram below is how i did it, I just stuck a filter on the TB until I can get a LID, seems like it would be less restrictive, even though it is not cold air...
So basicall the sensor is hangin inside the filter.
I kno I installed a filter on my old ranger and it had a MAF with a IAT and the light came on cause it was too rich, they reset the CEL and said the comp would adjust to the new air comming in...is it the same on the camaro? Can anythign be damaged from the IAT no installed correctly?
