nope, i didnt. i wanted it to last.
about 4000 counting it in its current state.
and thanks, yeah it prob was, it had a broken head gasket when i got it (got it fixed for free!!)
too bad they cant fix the engine for free.

 

The head gastket is probably the reason you spun a bearing. If there was any anti-freeze in your oil, it washed away the oil in that bearing and caused it to spin. Check your oil now for anti-freeze. Drain it and see whats in there. If there is green stuff in there, they didnt fix it for you, the destroyed your engine. And unless it was covered (the head gasket) nobodys gonna do that job for free. The gasket kit is between $150-$200 and its a pain in the ***.

 

i got the engine ordered on friday morning. got it for 1700 bucks.

 

who did you go for the engine? How many miles?

 

a napa rebuilt engine. same 3.8 v6.
no miles and a three year unlimited mileage warranty!!!
that was the most expensive but best deal. should get it back in like a week or so.

 

I paid 550 for mine, from a junkyard with 36,000 miles on it. Cleaner than clean.

 

we couldnt find one around here in a junkyard. we looked.
