Default New car Big Problems

I just bought a 95' camaro and dont know anything about it. It was running fine the first few weeks but now everything is going wrong. When i go to turn on the car and its ideling it wants to die and it seems like the engine is flooding. I was driving it around the day before and it was totally fine until later the night when i was driving it it was shuttering and when id go into 1st gear it would die. The service engine light would keep flashing to and all the gages were going haywire. Does anyone know whats wrong with it cuz i have no idea and im going to take it into the shop to see what they can do but i would like to know whats wrong with it...

the flashing SES light means that the problem is a misfire. You could have multiple misfires, or one really bad misfire thats causing the problem. Take the car down to a local autozone and have them scan the car to see which cyliners are misfiring, and go from there. I've had 2 misfires since i had my car, one just went away, and the other just needed a new spark plug.

Same **** has happen to me in the past 2 weeks, i replaced my battery, altenator, coil packs, starter, wire, plugs, and basically my entire ignition/electrical parts lol, i would definetely check for a short and a couple blown fuses, but that whole blinking SES light could be a real problem bro....... bring it to get tested like everyone else said, and theyll be able to tell you what happen. Good Luck man

Had same thing happen. Took in to get it checked. Isolated it to a burned out plug wire. Easy fix. But that light is coming on there should be a code on the computer to tell you exactly what it is. That's what that diagnostic system is for. Take advantage of it.

If your light is blinking, you shouldnt be driving it...Park it, get it towed to a shop. The cost of a tow is gonna be alot cheaper than a burned out PCM or other parts.
