Default new 3800 series owner.. new problems lol

first off just picked up a 98 camaro v6 a few hours ago..

its a midnight blue T-top with 123k

it was a fixer upper (needing some work here and there) and isint in too bad a shape from what i can tell..

here are the noticeable problems im running into so far.

i found a coolant hose that seems to be disconnected and not running anywhere.. im still testing and fant find any water going through it at this time. ill have to do more research and if anyone has a diagram of the cooling layout it would be appreciated.

next up on the block is my power windows arent working.. possibly bad grounds or connections.....

those are the only two major issues that bug me.. but otherwise im happy to become a member of this community...

thanks in advance

with little experience with the 3.8 im not sure about the coolant line but as for the windows check to make sure your getting power at the relay if so check the connector to the motor if theres no power there jump the motor to a battery and see if it works

Pictures of this hose will help alot. The power windows is most likely the motor since gm motors blow chunks. It also could be the bcm.

Post a pic of the hose. Windows may need new motors and regulators -- I wouldn't be surprised.

thanks for the responses.. finally found a picture of the engine bay.. it ended up being 2 hoses for the heater core.. and they bypassed it for a quick fix.. cant find any leaks with that system nor does the car overheat since i reconnected them...

ill keep an eye out for the regulators. gonna go under the dash this weekend and make sure everything is connected properly..

once again thanks guys for your patience with this noob
