You do know the V8 700R4 WILL NOT bolt to your 3800? They have completely different bolt patterns. If both transmissions have replaceable bell housing you can swap the bell housing but I do not think either of the torque converter will work as I believe they are different diameters and different input shafts. So you need a torque converter that will fit on a V8 input shaft but will fit on in a V6 bell housing and bolt to a V6 flex plate. The F body transmission has a mount for the torque arm that the Caprice would not have.
1990 was the last year for the 700r4. 91 GM started the 4060 in 1993 they started the 4060e by 1994 all passenger car where OBD1 and had a PCM (power train control module) this meant they were all 4060e.
In the V6 Section there is a sticky of what is involved with converting a V6 to a V8. You are going to need a donor Camaro. There are just too many parts you need that where designed for the camaro. Things like the power steering pump and the position of the alternator on the caprice motor will not fit in the camaro. K-member (the frame) motoor mounts, oil pan just to install it. Also remember your computer is directly linked to your gage cluster. The V6 and V8 cluster and wiring is different so you need the V8 cluster and harness. There is a link in the swap thread that has detailed information on what parts you need putting a LT1 from a 94 Camaro into a 95 V6. I do not know of a list of parts needed to put in a caprice LT1. I know it would be a very long list.

If you are running an oiled air filter and over oiled it, you could be transferring extra oil to the MAF wires, causing problems. If so, try some MAF cleaner spray on the wires -- careful not to touch them -- delicate.
For subframe connectors for a 'Vert, look at UMI Performance, I have them welded in both my 'Vert and Coupe.

thanks again I have been running open loop for a year with the maf disconnected. Something inside the pcm had fried and knew the pcm was soon to go out. So I have a new pcm on order to fix all my electrical problems that have been put aside for some time now. thanks again for the link on sub frame that's my next buy.
