700r4 is the same as wat i already have just gearing is different and electronic but i have the 350 with pcm and wiring harness that all go together

 

the k member is made for the weight and power of a v6, motor mounts are different, is this a lt1, ls1, carbureted 350?

it is a fuel injected ls1 that came out of a 94 caprice. and i know some things will be different but i am tired of Fred Flinston'ing it just to reverse and want a little more power!!!!

 

The ls1 was released in 97 and I'm pretty sure it was never put in a caprice. I think you have an iron head lt1, its not as powerful as the aluminum head lt1 that was put in the camaros and birds.

 

lt1 will fit, you will need your year wiring harness and computer, better to switch k member, i think the v6 mounts on the k member are different, 95 is drive by wire i believe so that is something that will not work with a 700r4, are you sure its not a 4l60e, look similar, anyways for a 700r4 you will need a 93 tb and throttle cable setup, again not sure how the computer is going to react being there are many different kinds of 700r4s. the 93 4l60 aka 700r4 is sorta electonic but is limited and does use the tv cable. gm did not use 4l60/700r4 after 93 in anything.

 

corrected it is a lt1 but after following the vin on all items it was in a 94 caprice. i do have a sub frame kit but i dont know about the k member. also need to look into cross bars due to the fact that it is a convertible.

 

and the pcm and wiring harness that came with the motoer will not work?

 

you would have to get wiring diagrams from both years and see how they match up.

 

ok will do what would be the best converter to go with? also looking for cross member bars since i have a convertible
