Ok well to begin with ive found a good lt1 at a good price at a local junkyard owned by a friend of the family...aka cheaper than usuallol Anyway i know ill need the wiring harness and the computer but my question is will i need the tranny or will mine work with the lt1?Also is that all ill need or?...Any help would be appreciated.

If you need more info about using the T-5 in your V6 Camaro to adapt to a LS1 or LT1, the current HotRod mag has a great write up about it, it thells you everything you need to know along with the do's and dont's.
