Ouch, I thought they were a little better than that...I'd stick with Pacesetters lol.

yeah, itsbasically to say " i have custom long tubes on my sixxxx " you might get a little more low end torque, but its not worth the $800 you could put into your car in other places.

Should be!
Just ask the shop if its legal and what not, get a few quotes, find out emission standards for your area and start breaking out the Benjamins!

okay i have a 96 3.8 and i have pacesetters Y-ed into a highflow cat with magnaflow catback. its sounds very nice except it will get a little raspy when you let off at higher rpms and let it wind down(i have a 5 speed so i can do this) but other than that, i have been completely satisfied with it. as for the Long tubes, i have been warned against the true dual set up with them. as mentioned before sixxers do not create enough back pressure for the motor to breathe properly... you will burn out plugs and possibly lose gas mileage unless the timing is advanced... most guys on fullthrottle v6 that true dual their cars have motor work done to it so it helps breathe the motor. guys on that site usually Y the Long tubes into a cat back with the stock motor. honestly the long tubes are very nice, like said before, to say you have them but performance gain they actually dont give that much of an advantage. also when you install the LTs you have to eliminate the EGR from your PCM which needs to be done by someone that knows what they are doing. you can mod the lts to put that egr into them but it will probably look sloppy and the pacesetters come with it already. so when you try and balance the pros and cons between them, its a little lobsided between.... money spent, time to install, and performance. still by all means do as you please. the lts sound sick but may hurt more than they help with true duals, so then is it really worth it to put longtubes into a catback? that is your call. i would look for a used set of pacesetters for cheap or buy them new... here is a the dyno comparing the two, it should answer anymore questions you have.

2 hp diff for 800$... eh to steep and unpractical in my eyes, although it may sound better, but it still wont get away from all of the raspyness of the V6.
hope i helped
