Default More problems with my dying '98

Ok here's the deal......

A few weeks ago I replaced the belt tensioner assembly. Well when I did that I broke the two hose fittings that attach to it. So at the time I thought nothing of it and let go. ThenI noticed that there was a leak in the same area as one of the fitting. Again I let it be a just kept water in the car and every couple days I add some to the radiator. Well every couple days eventually turned in to every couple a trips. This brings me up to now. I replaced the fittings and nothing really changed. I now realize that the fitting I thought was leaking either plugs into or close to the water pump. The car is not running extremely hot, so hot that it cuts off sometimes. Does this mean my water pump is bad. Sometimes I'll try to put water in the radiator, and I can hear a sound likes it boiling then the water will come pouring out the top. The other day it ran hot, I heard the popping sound like frying grease. I took off the oil cap and smoke can out. I took the air filter off and smoke came out of there too. It seems like smoke is coming from everywhere.

WHAT IS THE PROBLEM(S)?!?!?!?!??!

Thanks guys, you have helped me so much in the past, keep it up!!!!!

How does the car run, if you start up now? Is it running rough? I was going to suggest changing the thermostat for starters.

It runs horrible. Sometimes it doesn't want to start. It idles really hard and it pulls real hard.

Sounds like you blew a head gasket. Have you checked to see if water is in your oil, or vise versa?
