if money isnt a problem, why do you keep asking about the prices?
if you are planning to make this into a monster camaro, the v8 route is the easiest and cheapest.
if you want to stick to the v6, find a 3.8. they can be built pretty good.

For the record, if you feel a night and day difference between the stock cat and a high flow cat, that means your stock one would have been clogged/restricted. A regular cat isn't all that restrictive, and any great notice in change would be from the placebo effect. Save your money if you're hoping a different cat will help to make your engine a monster.

if your looking to add a lot HP to a 3.4 liter and want to spend at least 2 grand rebuild the motor and do a 3400/3500 top end swap. Or you can take it for what it is, get a nice sounding exhaust, gut your cat, pacesetter headers, one piece drive shaft and suspension upgrades. it will be more fun to drive. save your money towards another project car like a 3.8 or Z28. now dnt get me wrong I've rebuilt my 3.4 but mainly for looks, and reliability. a head swap and rebuild would move 160 HP to 200hp. 40 HP difference for a lot of money. it will never be a monster. take a look at socoms build. he spent about 5 grand ok his rebuild. I spent $3,400 on mines. you could buy a 3.8 or Z28 with just that alone. if you wanna do it I say go for it. a lot of Plp have including me, but weight the pros and cons and research, research, research.

LOL, very observant, Camaro 69 -- yes, my '95s cat was broken internally and rattling around... YMMV.
The OP may want to look at Headers first...
