Default Missing hose and ticking.

I think I'm missing a hose from my valve cover on the passenger side, but I'm not sure. Also, there is a somewhat loud ticking coming from this area also.

I have not seen that many 3.4's but that pic almost looks more like a sensor rather than a hose. The ticking could be a bad lifter or exhaust leak.

it should be a crankcase vent and should have a hose from it to the intake elbow. whats your oil pressure? cold and at operating temp?

Oil pressure when cold is around 80 and when it gets to operating temp is around 60.

good oil pressure so if its a lifter its a bad or lose lifter. look for exhaust leak. broken manifold bolt, lose spark plug.

Does the ticking get louder when heavier throttle? If it does, its probably an exhaust leak..if the sound doesn't change much, its probably valvetrain.
