115 speed limiter on a 94 v6 and its not hard to hit i have high flow cat and cat back underdrive pulleys k&n filter and accel coils and going back to base from home i leave home North East MD at about 2 am and arrive in Alexandria, VA around 315 330 depending on how sensitive my radar is that night. how exactlydo you go about taking off thelimiter?

 

i know of a 96 Camaro that does 12.15 @117mph in the 1320. and i'm pretty sure it goes alot faster on the road.

fastest i've ever went was 215ish in a '94 mustang that was highly modded and not exactly legal.

 

Why did G.M limit these cars to 118, was it for the tyre speed rating?

 

Most of the time, cars are governed not to exceed the speed rating of the tire they come equipped with.

because you did that in a ford, you subtract 125 mph because of the blue oval on the front.
