LSD install help!!!!
Had no way to tell, there was no cluster in the dash, and it was the only f-body that had an lsd rear. v8 f-bodies hardly ever come into the yard, I was lucky to get it in the first place. I dunno, $150 for the rear end, I should've just spent a little under $300 and did everything right the first time. I have a saying that I use often: "Buy something cheap, kick yourself everytime you use it. Buy something nice, and kick yourself once when you pay for it."

I know parts can get pricey, but Im a believer in you get what you pay for, and the only reason you would put lsd in is because your gonna end up beating the crap out of it at the track, dont buy used. Id rather spend 600 or even up to 800 and get the job done right and solid the first time.
why would you spend that much on a weak 10 bolt, doing it right would be putting a better rear end in it. factory lsd is fine. spend 800 on a locker just to blow up the rear end sounds smart.
Well, if we had V8's, we'd have to worry about that. A 10 bolt can be strong, especially if you use a greater spline count on the axles. If I make 350 horse at the wheels without blowing up my T5, I'll let you know. Otherwise, there's no reason to buy a $2000+ rear end. That's overkill.
