Question Locking Header Bolts, MLS Exhaust Gaskets & EGR block off?- '02 3800

Anyone have a handle on where can I find the following? WS6Store only has the LS1 versions:

* Stage 8 (or equivalent) locking header bolts for 2002 3800 V6 headers?
* Exhaust gaskets, MLS (Multi Layer Steel) preferably for 2002 3800 V6?

And a question, what issues would be expected if an EGR block-off plate is used on a 3800? Would it be that much better to pipe the EGR into a header tube?

I think as long as you tune out the error code it should be fine. You will lose some MPG in normal driving. I used the EGR valve on my 96. I did get rid of my Lt1 EGR valve because of all the pluming it needed.

In the old days we always blocked off the EGR valve because the exhaust between the cylinder and the cat was crap and over the years it would sooth up the intake. With modern cars there is very little down side to the EGR valve. Thanks to Camaro 69 for posting that research

Thanks Gorn. I literally just got a call back from ZZP Performance and they said the stock manifold bolts should be fine, there is not an issue w/header bolts backing out on 3800s. Also Felpro exhaust gaskets are fine, they say they use them on turbo builds too.

They said there is no downside to blocking EGR on 3800s and then just tune it out, but might be issues on other cars. At issue is my LTs have no EGR provision, so fabrication would be required and probably not worth it...
