It sounds like what's happened is the theft deterrent system is not recognizing your key. Or you are trying to use a new key. Realize that you MUST use a key with the chip in it in order to start. If your computer has "forgotten" your key Or if you are trying to use a new key. I believe the procedure is to turn the key to the on position (dash lights on) but don't try to start it. Leave it in this position until the security light turns off. (Can be a long time) Then turn the key to the off position, not sure if you have to remove it or not but go ahead just for luck, Then advance the key to the on position again and sit until the security light turns off. Turn it off again. Turn it on again and wait. After you've completed the cycle three times the computer should recognize your new key and you should be able to turn over the engine. Make sure your lights are off as well as your fan and radio as this is a time consuming and battery consuming process. Good luck!
