The other day i completely replaced everything underneath my 94 V6's rear end, suspension, dif., everything...the donor rear end came out of a 97 firebird and the plug/sensor that bolts on top of the axle assembly was identical to the one on my 94's rear end so i used the newer one, but i was wondering what this sensor was and will matter if i use my original sensor or the newer one????

 

sounds like an ABS sensor
