Well, I could say it's all in your head, but you might take it the wrong way. With that said, it must all be in your head!
How do you mean, like the car is dragging anchor? An oil change wouldn't make a noticeable difference like that, unless you added sand or concrete to the oil!

Probably knocked a spark plug or sensor wire lose during the oil change. Or, forgot to drain the old oil and just dumped another 5 quarts into the engine. lol

i must of been mistaken but i thought this was a place to get answers about a problem with a car not to be a joke if i thought it was in my head i would of never of had to ask a question.

not everyone is dumb in the head how can you knock a spark plug loose when everything for an oil change is done under the car?

Ok, a total serious answer then. An oil change will NOT affect engine performance, as far as taking away power or umph. At least, none that you would notice. Look for a different culprit.

If you can't take a simple joke like that, then you need serious help. An oil change by itself will not have a noticable effect on performance, as 69 stated.

As far as the spark plug thing, I think he meant the spark plug wire. He said this because he assumed you looked at other things while under the hood. I do it. Any time I do an oil change I pull one plug from each side of the engine and examine it while the oil drains out. I also check the rest of my fluids, might as well do it since I'm already in there.

Also, I don't mean to be an ***, but I better say it before someone else does because I'll attempt to say it the nicest way possible, but if everything is done from under the car, how did you add the oil back in?

All kidding aside. Many moons ago, when in the US Army, I saw the Chaplain's driver fill the M38A1 Jeep up to the top of the valve covers till it overflowed. He then drove off and went about 100 feet till when the Jeep stalled in a cloud of blue smoke. The driver said He was following the orders of the motor pool sergeant, who told him to make sure the engine was full of oil.
