interior lights / locks not working
#3
All of the things you listed are controlled by the BCM. How's your radio doing? Do your power windows still work? Does your car still start? The BCM also controls the factory security system (the little resistor in your key), so those are some other symptoms that might be caused by a bad BCM. However, it is possible for the BCM to be bad and some of those things still work, so don't rule it out. Have you checked all the wiring?
Did this just happen all of a sudden, or has it been going in/out for a while? If you're lucky, it might just be a loose connector on the BCM that needs to be pushed in better.
The BCM is under the passenger side dashboard. Remove the kick panel, and you'll see all the wires leading to it on the right side. In order to remove the BCM, you also need to remove the long plastic piece that runs along the bottom under the door. It also helps to remove the glove box, but isn't 100% necessary. If you're going to remove that, you need to make sure to pull out the airbag fuse and disconnect the yellow SIR connector (behind the kick panel).
