FYI - there is a metal and rubber lim gasket available on amazon for the 3.8. Step up from the plastic/rubber gaskets.

i added this thread to the how to sticky at the 4th gen v6 section. questions. when installing the intake is there any places that need rtv? i know on most older gm engines the 4 corners were the head intake and block intake gaskets meet get a dab of gasket sealer/rvt. also does the elbow's o rings get any lube or sealant?
