What's the best way of removing the baffles from a 98 3.8. I can't just buy a lid because the lids I saw are all striaght necks and I can't use that so what's the best way to gett a better flow?

I have heard of folks using pliers to "snap" the baffles off, and then sanding the surface smooth. I've also heard people talking about using a dremel to remove them, and then sanding the surface smooth.

i can remove the baffles easy its the part of installing a new intake because of the turned throttle body. whats the best, piping wise, way of completely removing the baffles anyone have pics of a 98 with a cold air intake or different air lid. looked through Google but all just show the newer straight throttle body on it.

There are two separate lids for the 3.8. '98 still used a mechanical throttle body, and the throttle body is still angled as it is on 95-97 as well. '99+ used an electronic throttle body, and the throttle body was straight. They don't sell a 98+ 3.8 lid, it is 98 or 99+... That is the problem he is having.
