instrument panel light out!!?
ok my light in my instrument panel on the left side has gone out, i cant see my tempature guage or my oil pressure guage at all at night, and my RPM guage is kinda out, i cant see the low RPMs. I checked the fuse, and its good. Could it be a bulb out? i started to take the instument panel out but i stopped when i got past the plastic and to the bare panel, because i was scared i would mess something up. can anyone help me out? is it a bulb out? and if it is, how do i get to it to replace it?
u gotta take the dash peice under the steering column, then the peice around your radio, and then the peice around your intstruments. be careful with that last peice around your instruments tho bcuz there is a screw at the top left of it and its hard to get out. once you get all that out, you can unscrew your instrument panel and and disconnect the electrical hookup. once u have done all that, u can take your instruments right out of your car. the bulbs size is 194 i think. just go to your local auto parts store or something and get some replacement ones. it might take you a few hours to get all this done, but its not too hard. mainly just be careful with all the dash peices. i didnt break any of mine, but i have heard they can be somewhat brittle
Yes. Two screws hold the trim around the cluster in. Four screws hold the actual cluster in. Once all those are removed, just give the cluster a little tug. All it is, is a plug in the back. To disassemble the cluster is self explanitory. If you can't figure it out, you should do like Alih said, and sell the car. You have a few bulbs out. There are about 9 194 sized bulbs if you want to change them all out.
