Default I'm new... in need of some assistance

I just put a new fuel pump in my 1997 Camaro 3.8 lt... now this is the tricky part... when in accelerate and the car tires to shift down the voltmeter goes down to almost bury the needle and the car boggs down like its not gettign enough fuel. Oh and when that happens the speedometer goes up too. any ideas whatsoever... any help would be nice.. thanx

Apparently there is intermittent short to ground, or between circuits, depending on how the car moves or flexes. Usually a wire with bad insulation. Won't be easy to find becase it only happens on certain conditions. The car would bog down because when the voltage drops so does the fuel pump output. Was it doing this before you changed the pump?

All it did was just die when the pump went out... as soon as i replaced teh pump it started right up .... it drove for about 10 miles then i floored it going up a hill.. and it sputtered and bogged down............ i pulled over and put it in neutral and it reved up just fine..... then i put it in gear and tried to go again and it bogged.... now it has some serious problems starting.... it gets closer to start when i'm turing the motor and the oil pressure goes up the closer it gets to start.... latley ive been needing to spray starting fluided in it to get it started... i'm lucky if it does.... i was told my battery is dead by autozone could taht be the problem?

thanx

A dead battery definetely does not help things, especially if it has an internal short and drags voltage down.
